A large part of our work is to take environmental systems into the laboratory where we can test hypothesis in a controlled environment to answer questions concerning the function of metal cycling in the environment. We focus on assessing environmental systems, which we asses in detail in the lab, to then transfer the knowledge gained through detailed experimentation back to the field scenario.
